The following Supreme Court judgements were issued against Fairfax Media journalist Eamonn Duff, and book publisher Allen & Unwin, on 29th August 2014. The plaintiffs, Mercedes Corby and Michael Corby, were awarded substantial damages for the multitude of outright fabrications which had been published in
Duff's fictional book, 'Sins Of The Father'.
The book itself had been out of print since it was ordered to be pulped in April 2013, having been
judged to have "flagrantly breached" copyright, by including precious family photographs without any permission whatsoever. Its hugely damaging contents had also been
previously exposed via direct interviews with many of those who had been misrepresented within it.
